Custom length, a stated width and thickness, and private-label packing are order details that have to be checked. They are not quoted from “make it to our drawing” alone. List what you already know as length × width × thickness × TPI × quantity, then add tooth form, whether the blade is welded into a loop, material, packing, and labels. Missing items can start from an old blade, nameplate, or machine model; see What If I Do Not Know Blade Size?. DEKOLY’s OEM page is OEM & Custom. This article only lists what to send. It does not treat unverified capacity, lead time, or certifications as facts.
Spec list: fill every field you can
- Length: loop circumference. An old blade or label is the most stable source. How to measure is in How to Measure Band Saw Blade Length.
- Width and thickness: they must fit the wheels and guides you already have. See How to Choose Width and Thickness.
- TPI or pitch: follows material, solid vs tube, and wall. See How to Choose Band Saw Blade TPI.
- Quantity: this lot and whether you need split shipments. What can be accepted is confirmed after the spec; this site does not publish capacity figures.
- Use: metal cutoff, wood, meat and bone. Do not mix a food blade and a metal blade on one “generic OEM” line without saying so.
How to read the string is in How to Read a Band Saw Blade Specification. Portable saw lengths usually do not interchange; see Portable Band Saw Blade Buying Guide.
Non-size items that still belong on the RFQ
| Item | Why to include it | If you do not have it |
|---|---|---|
| Tooth form, set, variable pitch | Same TPI can cut very differently | Close-up of the old tooth line |
| Construction: carbon / bi-metal / TCT | “Band saw blade” is not a type | Cross-section or type on the pack |
| Welded loop vs coil | Most band saws need a loop | Write “loop” or “coil stock” |
| Packing, label, customer brand | The core of OEM / private label | Label sketch, language, barcode yes/no |
| Saw brand/model, guide width | Non-standard width/thickness must fit | Nameplate, photo at the guides |
| Material and section | Stops a pitch chosen from the name alone | Material + size + solid/tube |
Construction contrast is in Bi-Metal vs Carbide vs Carbon. Food jobs also need cleaning and product type; see Meat and Bone Band Saw Blade Guide.
Do not substitute these phrases for a spec
- Do not write “same as last time” without the last spec or order number.
- Do not send only a retail machine name. Length often changes inside the same series.
- Do not treat a competitor model or a spoken TPI as a verified size. Measure the old blade or read the label.
- Do not require a named internal SKU before material and machine are provided. This site does not publish SKU price lists.
Collect parameters in Blade Finder or send them through Request a Quote. Completeness cuts the back-and-forth. Lead time, minimum quantity, and packing methods are whatever is confirmed in writing afterward. This article does not fill in unverified numbers.
FAQ
We only have the machine model, not the length. Can you quote OEM?
You can start with brand, model, and a nameplate photo. Length can differ by machine. Do not print labels or place the order on a spoken length.
For our own brand, do we have to send trademark files?
State label copy, language, and whether the customer brand is printed. Authorization files follow what both sides confirm. This page does not claim certificates or licenses already exist.
Can any non-standard width be made?
Width still has to match the wheels and guides. Send the current width, a photo at the guides, and the material, then confirm. Do not assume an arbitrary millimeter will mount.
Can a drawing or sample blade replace the form?
Yes, and it is often more accurate. Mark which edge is teeth, whether it is already a loop, and the quantity for this lot. Do not send only a distant blurry photo of the sample.
